My late "Naughty November " post!

Apologies to Rachel and Tiffany for not posting last Monday. I had this ready to go but somehow didn’t press Publish! I don’t know why, but I’m here now!

I really enjoyed joining in with Tiffany and Rachel for Naughty November! The idea was to make a few new cross stitch starts! Mine were all Christmas projects ..... I never usually manage to start in time for Christmas so a new start thingy seemed ideal to me!

And this is where I was up to last week (it's grown a bit more since though!)

2 - Christmas Cheers from The Ultimate Christmas Cross Stitch
 Collection - November 2014

You might have wondered at the name of "Christmas Cheers" ..... well, the idea is to finish rather like a tea cosy and is intended as a cover for a bottle of wine or sherry!
I particularly liked this idea as our dining table is on view to the world and we will be able to hide our drinking habits from people passing by, tee hee!

I hope to finish this for Christmas!!!

I was slow posting because I was trying to start - a Father Christmas pattern from an old CrossStitcher magazine to match the Mother Christmas I stitched a couple of years ago - but my scraps weren't large enough! So, I started re-stitching the robin I had to abandon last week:

3 &4 Christmas tags again from The Ultimate Christmas Cross Stitch Collection

and, once again I got carried away and forgot to post!

Oh, and I had another new start which made me set everything else aside until I finished it ....

January's calendar finished!
CrossStitcher Issue 365

No actual threads with this issue, it includes the frame and 12 mini patterns.
I loved January's picture, and the others are cute too !
I can't wait to stitch them all!

(as usual I would mention I have no affiliation to this magazine I just show what I like!!
If you see what I mean! Tee hee!)

Do pop over to Rachel's to see what new starts others stitched - HERE!

Anyway, that's all for now, except to say we have just come out of lock down in this area although its getting so confusing and apart from keeping away from everyone else I'm not really sure what we are meant to do now!

I hope you are keeping safe and coping well where you are!

Hugs,

Barbara xxx

Your embroidery is really beautiful.
You can see the progress and the January page I loved.
Here we are still confined to our city and we cannot leave the municipality or be on the street after 22:00.
It will be a strange Christmas.

I love the Sherry cosy idea! You could make one using a Margaret Sherry design, then it would be a Sherry Sherry cosy hahaha.

I love the calendar too, I will definitely be stitching those little designs next year.

I must say that I am really loving that amazing tree you're working on (1st photo)...it puts me so much in mind of the cartoon version of 'The Grinch' which is my favourite Christmas show. Can't wait to see this one completed - so please do hurry!

It looks like you are keeping busy Barbara, I especially like the calendar, a lovely idea. I’m making Christmas stockings for all the family this year, and filling them with whatever I can order with my supermarket delivery. Oh, and a special one for my new granddaughter, Skye Mari, born in September. Have a wonderful Christmas x
